Greetings! I'm Betty Lou Pardue. I graduated from Washburn with my degree in Communication Arts. One of the jobs I worked when I was a student was as an announcer, DJ, for KSKX radio (currently KMAJ-AM). From there, I worked for WIBW Television co-hosting an "info-tainment" show called TAKE FIVE. I absolutely loved doing that program because we got to interview people from a wide variety of areas. I also got to report from the red carpet several years during the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee for several CBS affiliates around the country.
Currently, I raise money for public television, KTWU, right here on campus. This is my third favorite job. I also volunteer for the Helping Hands Humane Society and encourage you to come adopt a new family member!
